Amanda Knox' parents appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to share their view on their daughter's prison conviction in Italy.
Italian authorities immediately focused in on Amanda Knox and her Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito as the prime murder suspects.
The media in Italy portrayed Amanda Knox as an uncaring, sex crazed party girl.

But Amanda's parents say that the rumors are not true and that stories have been created or greatly exaggerated by the Italian press. For example, the online name that she used "Foxy Knoxy" was said to speak of her "sexual" nature when in fact it was a soccer team nickname from when she was a child.
Although there was little to no concrete evidence that Amanda Knox murdered her roommate, the jury found Knox guilty of the murder and sentenced her to 26 years of prison in Italy.
Amanda's boyfriend Raffaele was also convicted of the murder of British exchange student Merideth Kercher and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Amanda and Raffaele have been serving time in prison for two years now.
