Barbara Walters Special Featuring Oprah Winfrey Airs Tonight
Barbara Walters recently interviewed Oprah Winfrey for "A Barbara Walters Special: Oprah, The Next Chapter. During the interview Barbara Walters asked Oprah questions about her personal life and career. One question about Oprah's sexuality has fascinated both the media and the public, and dramatic celebrity news headlines such Oprah Winfrey: "I'm Not a Lesbian" can be found on popular websites such as People.com today.
Gayle King Is Like The Mother Oprah Never Had
The media buzz stems from a couple of simple answer that Oprah gave during the interview when Barbara Walters asked her how she felt about her friend Gayle King and the lesbian rumors that have circulating. Oprah responded to the first question by saying,
"She is ... the mother I never had. She is ... the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don't know a better person."
Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King have been best friends for over 20 years and Gayle often appears on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
The Lesbian Question - What Oprah Said
Oprah answered the second question saying,
"No, I'm not a lesbian, I'm not even kind of a lesbian."
Many people have made the wrong assumption that Oprah Winfrey is a lesbian because she never married and spends a lot of time with Gayle. Over the years Oprah has repeatedly talked about her live-in boyfriend Stedman Graham and has denied the rumors of her being gay, but some people have continued to question her sexuality.
Oprah and Stedman's Relationship
Any avid Oprah Winfrey fan has no doubts that she and Stedman are a still a strong couple. She often makes remarks about the things they do together at home and she recently shared her "Love Sandwhich" recipe which she often makes for Stedman.
After her interview with Oprah, Barbara Walters mentioned that she didn't know Oprah Winfrey and Stedman lived with one another, but Oprah has mentioned "coming home to him" in the past. (Click here to find out how Oprah and Stedman met each other).

The highest paid porn star in history Jenna Jameson appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to talk about her sexual lifestyle and her two children.
Jenna Jameson became so popular in the adult entertainment industry that she was able to get plenty of mainstream work on television shows and movies. She even wrote a bestselling book "How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale."
There are many unhappy Oprah viewers who did not appreciate an Oprah Show dedicated to the topic of pornography. Some viewers felt sorry for Jenna Jameson while others felt disgusted. Some felt that by doing the show Oprah was somehow promoting pornography.
After reading an excerpt and reviews of Jenna's book "How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale" it's obvious that she was deeply affected by having too much freedom as a child.
She says in the book,
"I was always secretly jealous of my friends, who had to change in the car because their fathers didn't want their baby girls leaving the house dressed like a slut. Since I was four, my father had been letting me run wild in the streets, but the freedom had come with a price: security."
The book reveals some of the details of Jenna's difficult childhood which included the death of her mother as a young child and her father's neglect.
Oprah Winfrey tries to do shows that will teach or enlighten her audience. But when it comes to the subject of porn maybe we'd be better off sticking to Dr. Phil's view that the woman in the adult film industry just shouldn't be there, after all they are someones daughter, sister, or mother.
