Oprah Winfrey had a lot of amazing things to say during her "Lifeclass" show which recently aired on TV. Oprah shared her beliefs on the ego, which she learned reading the book "New Earth" by Eckart Tolle. She also touched on the "law of attraction" and how someone's beliefs can lead them to where they are in life. The book "The Secret" explains the law of attraction in detail. The following Oprah's Lifeclass video clips are filled with valuable information that may make you stop and think about your life and how your thoughts and beliefs are affecting you.

How Oprah Winfrey Talks About Her Belief In Herself:
Daniel Kovarbsich was a typical teenage boy and nobody around him seemed to notice that family friend Duane Hurley was playing a sinister role in Daniel's life for three years. Daniel first met Duane Hurley at the age of 12. 52-year-old Hurley was walking his dog near a local elementary school and asked the boy if he would watch his dog for a minute. Daniel was excited when Duane ended up paying him $30 for watching his dog for five minutes.
Teen's Parents Checked Duane Out
Daniel's parents were concerned about Duane's interaction with Daniel and searched for any possible sex offender information online. When the couple didn't find anything negative, they began to develop a trust for the new family friend.
Duane Hurley often asked Daniel to come over to his house to complete odd jobs. For the first year of the friendship Daniel's parents accompanied their son when he went to Hurley's home. Hurley treated both Daniel and his parents well, which is part of the "grooming stage." Once he earned the family's trust, Hurley began to work on getting closer to Daniel. Daniel alleges that Duane began to sexually molest him. The teen felt as though it were his fault and that if he told Duane no, then he might tell people about the encounters. Daniel's rage began to build up and it would not be long before he would snap.
The Day of The Murder
On January 22, 2010 Hurley was scheduled to take Daniel to school in the morning. A half hour after Daniel's father dropped him off at Duane Hurley's home, the man who had become a close family friend was dead. Daniel felt as though Hurley's sexual advances would never stop, and the 16-year-old smashed Duane over the head with a pickle jar and then stabbed him 55 times. He then called his father, Terry, who quickly arrived at the bloody scene. At first Daniel claimed that Duane had suddenly attacked him, but later he revealed that Duane Hurley had been sexually abusing him.
Teen Found Guilty of Manslaughter
Daniel Kovarbasich was charged with aggravated assault and manslaughter, and was found guilty at trial. The teen was sentenced to five years probation and must wait in jail until he undergoes therapy at a treatment facility. If he had been charged with murder, Daniel could have faced up to 15 years in prison. The teen was released from jail for an exclusive appearance on The Oprah Winfrey show.
Recognizing a Predator - The Six Stages of Grooming
It can be extremely difficult for parents and children to spot a child molester. They may be monsters, but they look just like regular people. Most child molesters plan how they will gain the trust of their victim and the victim's family. This process called "grooming" happens very slowly, which is why parents and friends of child sexual abuse victims often do not realize what is going on until it is too late. Oprah has listed important information on her website regarding the "grooming process" that child molesters use, so that parents and kids can have a better awareness of potentially harmful people. You can read "Child Sexual Abuse: 6 Stages of Grooming" on Oprah.com.
