Oprah and Her Staff Goes Vegan - Vegan Oprah Show Video Clip

The February 1, 2011 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show was definitely an interesting one. Oprah and 378 of her Harpo staff members decided to undergo a seven day long vegan challenge. For one week they would not eat any meat, dairy products or eggs. Some of the staff was excited about the challenge while others found it difficult to give up their regular diet. I'm wonder whether or not Oprah's interest in the Vegan lifestyle has anything to do with her close friend Ellen DeGeneres.

p>Health and diet experts Michael Pollan and Kathy Preston joined the show to talk about the benefits of eating natural foods. Journalist, Lisa Ling took Oprah viewers on a tour of a meat factory and the images of the animals were quite disturbing. The Oprah Winfrey show may be ending in 2011, but the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) is just beginning. Many of Oprah's fans are wondering what shows will be featured on OWN. The OWN website has finally listed many of the new shows lined up for January 2011, and I’m sure that Oprah fans will love them! Here is a look at some of the shows that will be featured on the Oprah Winfrey Network in the New Year.

All of those rumors of the Duchess of York getting her own show on the Oprah Winfrey Network are true. Sarah Ferguson will have her television series on OWN where she explores everyday problems such as money, relationships and weight issues. 

The Rosie O’Donnell Show

 If you have missed seeing Rosie on daytime television, you will have a chance to see her appear on the small screen again in this new daily talk show. 

Your OWN Show: Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star 

This reality show will be much like Donald Trump’s “Apprentice” show. Hosts Carson Kressley and Nancy O’Dell will be searching for the next big TV star. Viewers will have the chance to watch contestants compete for the prize of their very own OWN talk show. 

Tony Danza On The Oprah Winfrey Show - Teaching Tony Danza Reality Series

Actor Tony Danza surprised just about everyone by starring in a reality show about teaching. Tony Danza appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show on September 27, 2010 on the "Celebrity Dream Jobs" episode to talk about the A&E series "Teach."

Many of Tony Danza fans don't realize that he went to college to become a teacher before he made it big as an actor. Danza who is almost 60, decided he wanted to pursue teaching to see what life would have been life if he had followed the teaching path. Tony Danza was not planning to film the experience but after one of his TV producer friends suggested he make his experience into a TV show, Tony Danza agreed. A&E loved the idea of a reality show centering around Danza becoming a high school teacher.

The show documented Tony Danza's first year as a grade 10 English teacher at Northeast High School. The teens didn't waste any time cracking jokes about Danza's acting career. Danza had some tough days but never gave up, and eventually he won both his students and the high school's principal over. You can watch Tony Danza's reality TV series "Teach" A&E when it premieres on October 1, 2010, at 10/9c.

 

Oprah's New Earth Webcast With Eckhart Tolle - Chapter 1 Part 2

In the second part of Oprah and Eckart Tolle's "A New Earth" discussion on Chapter 1 of the book they discuss the process of his writing the book, as well as inspiration, nature, contemplation, and perception.

I found the discussion about nature and flowers to be particularly interesting. Up until now I never really thought about how much we label everything around us.
