Chaz Bono On The Oprah Winfrey Show - Chastity's Transition Into Chaz

Chaz Bono was on today's May 9, 2011 Oprah Winfrey Show where he talked about his gender reassigment. Chaz was once Chastity, the daughter of superstars Sonny Bono and Cher. As an adult Chastity came out as a lesbian. As a lesbian Chastity Bono found a certain amount of hapiness, but still did not feel like she fit in. Two years after seeing the transgender themed movie "Boys Don't Cry," Chastity began feeling that transitioning into a man may be the answer to her unhapiness. Once Chastity decided to become a man, she began to take male hormones and underwent surgery to remove both breasts.

Chaz told Oprah that his mother Cher has accepted his sex change, but has had a difficutlt time dealing with it. Oprah pointed out that Cher is having to deal with the loss of her daughter. For instance, Cher became upset after realizing that she would never hear her daughter's voice again. Chaz Bono has written the book Transition: The Story of How I Became a Man and has created a documentary that will air on The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN Channel).

Shania Twain On The Oprah Winfrey Show - New Book and OWN Series

Shania Twain appeared on the May 3, 2011 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Twain has not sat down for a television interview in over five years and is now returning to the spotlight to talk about her new book "From This Moment On." In her new book Shania Twain talks about her difficult childhood and the pain she went through after she found out that her husband had cheated on her, with her best friend. Shania said that she was in so much pain that she thought she was dying, and she wrote a letter to her best friend begging for her to leave her family alone, so that she could have her husband back. 

Shania Twain has been traumatized by a combination of witnessing domestic violence as a child, having to pick up the pieces after her parents died when she nineteen years old, and her husband and best friends betrayal. Her vocal cords have become so tight that she has been unable to sing sing for the past five years. She hopes that by dealing with her painful past she will be able to relax and sing for her fans again. Shania Twain told Oprah that she can not imagine never singing again.

The 45-year-old star is picking up the pieces, and writing ""From This Moment On" was part of her healing process. She has found love again and has remarried. Rob Lowe Talks About His New Book On The Oprah Winfrey Show

Rob Lowe looked as sexy as ever during his April 28, 2011 Oprah Winfrey Show appearance. The 46-year-old celebrity may have a sordid past but he has put his life back together and has a beautiful wife Sheryl and two fantastic teenage boys. Rob Lowe spends a few days a week surfing and enjoys spending time with his family. He decided to go to rehab 20 years ago and has remained sober ever since. He has been married to his wife Sheryl for the past 20 years and says he is still in love with his wife and that she is his very best friend.  

The talented actor wants to remain young in spirit as he works on his acting and writing career. Rob Lowe wrote every word of his new book, and Oprah was a bit suprised at Lowe's writing talent. It turns out that Rob Lowe's mother was a writer and she passed on the love of literature to her son. Rob Lowe's sons joked that they all read the same book at the same time, like some sort of nerdy family book club.

Rob Lowe talks about the details of his wild youthful lifestyle and time spent as one of the "Brat Pack" in his new book Stories I Only Tell My Friends: An Autobiography. Oprah Winfrey loved the book and I'm sure that Rob Lowe (or Brat Pack) fans will love the book too. The book reveals information on his relationships with Demi Moore, Charlie Sheen, Martin Sheen, Emelio Estevez and many more top celebrities. During today's Rob Lowe interview Oprah shared a video clip of the "Brat Pack" auditioning for acting roles in the hit movie "The Outsiders." Bob Greene - 20 Years Younger Book Challenge On The Oprah Winfrey Show

Celebrity health and fitness guru Bob Greene appeared on today's Oprah Winfrey Show.
