Recently radio host "Howard Stern" said some pretty nasty things about "Precious" star "Gabourey Sidibe." He called her "enormous" and compared her to other "thin" stars, then said she'll never be in another movie.
Gabourey Sidibe is actually working on her second movie and has landed a small role on a television show.
Howard Stern makes it sound like he just can't believe that someone so overweight could be an actor. Does anyone remember John Candy? He was overweight and a highly successful actor. I'm guessing that if Gabourey were a man she wouldn't be facing such criticism over her weight.

Here's Howard Stern's response to his critics: Acting is not modeling. Actors and actresses do not have to be perfect, they only have to fit the character in the role. The world would be one boring place if we all looked the same.
