Oprah Winfrey's Monday February 1, 2010 show featured segments of the new reality show "Undercover Boss" which sends the heads of huge corporations onto the job field to work alongside their employees.
The "undercover bosses" perform the everyday duties that keep businesses running and see if they learn the job and handle the stresses of the regular working world.
Head of Waste Management Goes Under Cover As New Employee
Larry went from running the largest trash and recycling company in North America to cleaning out portable toilets and hauling garbage.
As he went throughout the daily waste management tasks, Larry O'Donnell empathized with employees needs and used his experiences to create programs that would improve workers lives.
Head Of 7-11 Goes Undercover As Store Clerk Trainee
Joe DePinto is the head of the billion dollar 7-11 corporation who went under the cover as "Danny." During his first shifts at his 7-11 job he had trouble cleaning the store up and making coffee for customers.
DePinto was so moved by the story of 7-11 employee Russian immigrant "Igor" who was doing his best to live the American dream that he decided to give him his own 7-11 franchise to run.
Joe DePinto also decided to make a large donation to the "Donate Life America" cherity on behalf of the well loved 7-11 coffee lady "Delores" who has health problems.

I think that the new "Undercover Boss" show will be a big hit. It's great to see the head of a company step into the employees shoes.
