Al Gore On Oprah - What To Do About Global Warming

Al Gore appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show today to explain the harmful effects of global warming and what will happen if we don't do something now to preserve the earth's atmosphere for future generations.

Oprah called Al Gore's Academy Award winning DVD "An Inconvenient Truth" a must see movie for everyone. Al Gore has also written a book on the effects of global warming titled "An Inconvenient Truth: The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It." Gore says that we have about another 10 years before the effects on the planet become irreversible and that we need to take action now. 

Oprah Winfrey compared Al Gore to Noah in the bible because he is trying to warn others about potentially disastrous climate changes.

Oprah's Thrifty Holiday Show Disappoints Viewers

Many Oprah Winfrey show fans were looking forward to the Wednesday, November 27, 2008 Oprah show titled "Have a Thrifty Holiday With Christina Ferarre.

After reading articles and comments posted about the show I'd have to say that the majority of viewers expected something more than the show offered. Many people were hoping that Oprah would comprise a list of affordable gifts for $10.00 and under. Others hoped for more ideas in general.

The show focused on creating memory and gratitude boxes as well as writing letters that express your feelings as a gift rather than purchasing a store bought item. They also shared holiday recipes with the show's guest Christina Ferrarre.

The idea of the memory boxes and a Christmas without spending a lot of money is good in one way, helping us to remember that holidays aren't about gifts. But in a society so focused on the monetary and young children expecting Santa to slide down the chimney it would have been nice to have a few inexpensive gift ideas for under the tree this holiday.

I have comprised a holiday list of gifts that you can find online ranging from $10 to $23 dollars, and many that cost under $10.00. This list is great for those of us who do want to purchase a few inexpensive items this holiday season and love great deals.

Brad Pitt On Today's Oprah Show - The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button

It's been four long years since Brad Pitt appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show and now that he has Angelina and his six children to talk about it should be an interesting (and revealing) interview.

Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett are hitting the talk show circuit to promote their new movie "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button" which will be in theatres December 25, 2008. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button sound track will be available on December 16.

The "Curious Case Of Benjamin Button" promised to be a tear jerker. A story about a boy born as an old man who grows younger instead of older is a new twist to the classic (looks don't matter) love story and is based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel.
